Harper’s POV

I refuse to believe she’s gone. That thought is the only thing holding me together as I sit in front of her again.

It was difficult getting her to be here but with the help of elder maeron who is the only person she listens to I was able to get her here. She sits across from me, still as ever, her posture perfect, her hands resting lightly on her lap. If someone didn’t know her, they would think she was calm. But I know her and this… this is not her.

“Just… stay with me,” I whisper, more to myself than to her.

Lucas is behind me. When I told him about it, he insisted on being with me even though I tried to disagree. As much as I believe that she would not want to hurt me, it was also wise to let him stay with me in case anything happens
