The library feels different at night. Like the walls are holding onto every secret whispered between these shelves and refusing to let them go.
I sit at the long wooden table, one hand resting against my forehead, eyes scanning the same page for the fifth time without actually reading a single word.
It’s pointless. All of this is pointless. Every book. Every theory. Every desperate attempt to find something—anything—that could bring her back. My chest tightens. Bring her back.Like she’s gone.
