Chapter 102. Spiders

“Those bugs are going to kill us,” said Larry, who looked quite agitated.
I didn’t love spiders, but I didn’t suffer from arachnophobia either. Nevertheless, these spiders looked quite venomous. The bite hurt a lot, but I wasn’t feeling dizzy as I thought I would. They must have had a non-lethal venom. At least not lethal if they didn’t bite several times because the fanatic on the floor convulsing had already been bitten a few times. Nobody could help him, although I suspect his companions didn’t care at all.
“Yeah, I don’t doubt it,” I replied, looking around with a growing sense of despair.
The screams didn’t let me think of anything, no plan or strategy to get out of this. Larry couldn’t either; fear was paralyzing him even though he had never shown fear before. These spiders were causing us too many problems.
