The door opened, and the doctor came out with the same message as always: they were still working hard to stabilize my husband. Only the sun and the moon knew how much I prayed for him to wake up. I would give everything for him to wake up. My baby also supported me; he was the force that held me up even in that heartbreaking moment.
The door opened five more times, and I waited, at least for a minimal hope. The interrogator had not moved from the spot either, and I had to tolerate his presence, although I would have liked to wait alone.
When the doctor came out again, almost for the ninth time, I saw the smile on his face, and my soul returned to my body.
“He is stable, Your Majesty,” he said, but he did not finish the sentence because I screamed with joy.
