Chapter 251. Processing the Change

JASON

I woke up sweating profusely and found the heat unbearable. The stench of rotting flesh almost made me vomit on the floor, if it wasn’t for the fact that I didn’t feel anything in my stomach. My grandfather helped me to my feet.

“You must tell us what you have seen, Jason,” he said as he held me up.

I just concentrated on breathing deeply to stop feeling so suffocated.

“Air… I need to breathe air, good heavens…” I said with great difficulty, as if each word weighed a ton.

I couldn’t stop looking at my foot with its new appearance. Nor could I process what had happened. It was sheer madness. My eyes beheld the image of Tachje. I met him, I could see his true form. I didn’t believe it was a dream because I had transcended closed eyes into a living world.

“I was in his castle…” I started to say when they took me to the street, so I could breathe some fresh air.

I knew it was dangerous, but if I stayed under the kitchens I would suffocate.
