Chapter 281. Hostile

I trudged along the rough path, surrounded by a desolate and unpleasant landscape. The thorny bushes and cacti seemed to want to grab me with their sharp spines as I passed by them. The air was thick with dust and the scorching sun burned my already battered skin.
I stopped at a rock, sitting on it thinking it would be cool. But the heat made me fidget and roll my eyes. I looked up at the sky, how tired I was. My throat was very sore, the burning sensation was increasing.
