That stain in the girl’s eyes brought back a flood of memories that immediately tormented me.
I pulled away from the others, my head starting to ache terribly. Chris returned with Sallie to start better planning a plan that barely existed.
Lily was the one with the shadow. I couldn’t explain it in words.
“Old memories, aren’t they?” a voice asked beside me. I started immediately. I looked around this field and there was absolutely nothing.
The field was wet from the rain, I sat on the grass, as if the cold sensation would take away all the discomfort I was feeling in my body. I wanted to get away from that path I had been trapped on for so long.
Damn voice, of course I knew who it belonged to.
I clenched my fists to stop paying attention to it. I thought about Lucero, her image in my head made me feel a pang of imminent jealousy.
