“This is a damn farce,” Sam spat on the floor. “They don’t consider us anything.”
“Don’t you dare say that! Karl has been my best friend and thanks to him my business has flourished,” Horace shouted, starting to lose his patience.
I remained silent. Silence is a powerful weapon when you want to find out the truth in a group. The girl’s contempt for the crown was noticeable and that gave me more genuine information. The other boy, on the other hand, seemed to be totally unaware of almost everything, he was more naive.
And Horace was the very picture of friendship. I felt sorry for him, because he expressed himself about Karl like a true friend.
“Sam, calm down already. We are in the presence of His Majesty…” the boy started to say, whose name I couldn’t remember or was ignoring.
“His Majesty?” her tone was more ironic and disdainful. “How many His Majesties are there right now? Oliver, wake up. You’re an idiot.”
