I hesitated whether to follow him or not. It wasn’t my style to run away like a rat. That was Fayz’s style.
His words echoed in my mind.
What he said about Zack. I would never show him that I had fallen into a trap. Anyway, if it happened. Damn it, I thought Zack was telling the truth. Of course I wouldn’t tell the jerk Fayz so he could laugh at my faith.
We rode through the fields. He wanted to flee as far away as possible because he knew Zack’s wrath would catch up with him sooner or later. Soon they would chase us and we would be just two against an army of angry soldiers.
We rode almost non-stop for a whole day until I stopped to stretch my legs.
I felt the screech of my travel companion behind me. Fayz was the worst travel companion in the world. He was always nervous, like a scared chicken.
“We’re not going to stop!” he yelled, his tone of voice extremely annoyed.
“I’ll do whatever I want,” I replied, walking a bit.
