Chapter 478. I Yearn

Tachje still hadn’t returned. Ian was still sound asleep, which was making me nervous. I could even hear him snoring.
‘Wake up already,’ I tried to shake him. It seemed like a joke that he could sleep at a time like this.
Nothing, not even a hint of an attempt to wake up. It was as if the poor guy was dead. I was so tired. I felt sorry for wanting to keep waking him.
I didn’t know any more what worried me most or what afflicted me the most. Because, on the one hand, Tachje didn’t assure me that he would still be alive after what happened. But, on the other hand, I was more worried about Sallie’s mission.
I would have preferred that she didn’t have to go alone. She was my girl, I wanted to go with her to help her. At least I could try to protect her so that she would survive. I wanted to plan a life with her if we had a future. If I could ever get out of this place. Before, I wanted to stay here forever.
