Chapter 66. Attack
DOVE
Time had become a blur in my life, passing so quickly that I had to close my eyes to not see it; the knots were in front of me, unraveling at a speed that left me far behind. Jason walked with difficulty, trying to get up with all his strength. The screams of the crowd were deafening, in a scene that turned red and desperate; I stumbled when I was able to reach him to assist him.
“That’s enough,” I said, forcing him to stay there to rest. “You did it, Jason. You caught him.” I smiled, trying to stop the bleeding.
Lion was with the short man, with the sword at his throat, but it was difficult to hold him down. The guy had incredible strength despite his size; Lion was struggling to keep him immobilized. I approached as quickly as I could, with one of the vials in my hands, holding it and preparing to act. I poured it onto his face with the best precision I could. He screamed; the sting was unbearable and had the effect I was hoping for as he began to have hives
