Chapter 25

As the weeks rolled on, an unfamiliar tension hung in the air of the house. Ella couldn't deny the absence of Damian's presence. She had no idea what went wrong but after their heated argument, she noticed that Damian has been avoid her.

She was hurt by his indifference especially when he did it right after something had happened between them. Was she at fault?

Days turned into weeks, and Ella found herself missing Damian more. Yet, the memory of her confession gnawed at her heart and she was embarrassed by her emotional outburst.

Each day that passed felt like a missed opportunity. Ella would catch herself glancing toward his room or listening for the sound of his footsteps, but she ended up being disappointed each time.

One day, when she came downstairs for breakfast, everyone seemed busy and in a hurry. Could there be a visitor coming? She saw Rebecca and asked why everyone was in chaos and busy cleaning.
