Yes, she had his snacks already but it wouldn’t be a mortal sin to munch on something else. Then, her gaze was focused on the freezer. The cold air spilled out as she swung the freezer door open.
Amidst the array of frozen goods, her eyes zeroed in on her perennial remedy; an ice cream. It was a time-tested balm for her troubled heart and she also considered it as a sweet elixir that had never failed to sooth her whenever she’s not feeling okay.
Ella’s hands reached for the half-gallon container of Double Dutch. Then, with the container on hand, she walked toward the table nearby to indulge on her cravings. As the first scoop of the Double Dutch met the spoon, she smiled.
