Chapter 38. Cannot Understand

Quickly, her attention was drawn to something in the picture that was captivating her, for she noticed a tail behind Winston's back! It was a yellow tail with silver spots, which made Emily bewildered. She looked up at Winston and asked: "Why is there a cat tail in the picture?"

Winston was drinking water and almost spewed it out when he heard her. He quickly took the picture and said: "Um, that's... that's my cat's tail. It was hiding behind me when the picture was taken."

He wouldn't tell Emily that the tail was due to him not being able to control his shapeshifting when he was young!

"Oh ..." Emily nodded, feeling a bit uneasy. She silently wondered if he was the boss! How would she deal with him in the future? Could she make him lose interest in her?

"Are you thinking that when I'm not happy, I'll kick you out?" Winston smiled and looked at her deeply.

"How did you know?" Emily was taken aback.
