Chapter 40. Love So Much
The dog left and then returned, much to Emily's delight. She hugged it and immediately prepared food and water for it. Meanwhile, Ellie, who was cowering in her den, saw the damn wolf return and was instantly on edge. She wanted to kick it out of the house and was furiously shouting. Emily comforted one dog while also caring for the other, keeping herself busy until late into the night. Despite being exhausted, she was still in good spirits. Wolfgang saw her happy demeanor and couldn't bring himself to say anything about wanting to get rid of the "dog."
He sighed and said: "I'm going to the kitchen to cook rice."
"Okay." replied Emily, who was preoccupied with separating Ellie and the stray dog, unable to split herself in two.
Wolfgang reluctantly shook his head and went to the kitchen. He took out his phone and searched for Emily's favorite foods, then started preparing them. As he was cutting potatoes in half, Ellie burst into the kitchen, panting heavily.
