Chapter 11
Rob opened his mouth to speak, but his eyes moved to her arms, where he noticed that finger marks were already purplish on his light skin. Frowning, Rob leaned very lightly on top of the mark, and Debby retreated one step, taking her hand to hide the bruise.
"Was this thing caused by the individual you told me about? "He wanted to consider it.
Debby denied it with her head, looking too scared for the gesture to pass like anything occasional. Rob took a step in front, and even thought that she would retreat again, however, she only observed him, still covering the wound.
"I'm practicing fighting," she said, and Rob thought it consisted of being a lie. "My coach is very strict and does not allow failures. This mark was one of the times when she tried to fix my posture and was upset that my arms did not stop getting loose on the side of the body.
