Debby could only think of how close Robert was to her. Her eyes recorded the shape of his mouth, the nuances of color in his irises, the way the hair on his unmade beard appeared to be rough and the still ink tone that his hair.
She was very close to kissing him and wished him to do it first, just so that she wouldn't regret it in the future. But he respected her limits. He was left with nothing more than a sigh of distance between their mouths. And she didn't make every gesture that she would consider impulsive.
