Chapter 13
"You make me confused, Debby," murmured Robert.
"It's my specialty," she said, shaking her shoulders. "Wait until the moment I start to allow it to show that I want one thing, at the moment when I actually want another, then you will realize that my bipolarity is worse than all indecision."
Robert walked away with a laugh, making the sound reverberate again against Debby as a burning and solid current. He clearly didn't notice another clue she played about her worst torments.
At some point he would realize, she was sure of this thing, she just hoped that her reaction would not become a cause for another withdrawal. She didn't want to be away from him anymore. His eyes sparkled, and she thought she would never have seen anything more beautiful than that in the world.
