Sofia let out a frustrated sigh, resting her head in her hands. She knew the younger wolves were growing restless, but challenging her decision made her question her leadership abilities.
As if sensing her doubts, Mateo spoke up again. "Hey, you're doing your best for all of us. No one is questioning that. We all respect you as our Alpha."
Sofia managed a halfhearted smile at that. "I appreciate you saying so. But it's a constant burden, wondering if I'm making the right choices."
"For what it's worth," Mateo said, "I think you've been incredibly strong and wise in how you've led us so far. Yeah, some of the pack might get antsy sometimes. But we'd all be lost without your guidance."
