“No, I didn’t mean it that way, Isabella. I don’t want to be just friends with you, but I want more,” said Gordon, his eyes filled with hope. His statement rendered Isabella speechless. Did he mean what she thought he did?
“Gordon, I didn’t get you,” she said with a nervous look on her face. Thankfully, before Gordon could explain himself further, her phone buzzed with an incoming call from her mom.
“Where are you, sweetie? The boys are about to reach home any minute. Come home quickly,” said her mom excitedly.
