“You don’t believe me, do you?” he asked, looking hurt.
“What you’re saying is baseless, Weston. He’ll remain my friend forever and nothing more,” she reassured him.
“But you can be careful around him, can’t you?” Reasoned Weston, looking frustrated.
“I don’t need to, Weston.” She shrugged while Weston’s jaws clenched with fury.
“It’s late Isabella. Go to sleep. I’m fine,” he said, not looking at her. Isabella looked at him with concern.
“Are you sure?” she asked hesitantly. He just lay down and turned his head away from her.
“Yes, just go,” he dismissed her. Isabella went dejectedly towards her room, thinking about what Weston had just told her! She couldn’t ever think of Gordon on those lines. He was always sweet
