Chapter 36. Trying to Convince Her
He waited patiently after ringing the doorbell twice. It was well past dinnertime and he couldn't understand where the family could have gone. He was about to ring the doorbell again when the door opened and Victoria peeped at him with a nervous expression on her face. She gaped at him, seeing him suddenly at their doorstep.
"Where's Sofia?" Asked Davion impatiently, trying to open the door further to go inside. If he could, he would have stormed inside and met Sofia. He knew he could win her over if he met her once.
"Sofia doesn't want to talk to you. She's locked herself in after seeing you from her window," said a scared Victoria. She didn't know how to deal with the furious-looking Davion. Truth was that Sofia had been sitting at her window when she saw Davion approaching the house. She pushed Victoria forward, telling her at the last minute when the doorbell rang. Victoria had no time to even compose her nerves and decide what she would tell him.
