Chapter 30
The next morning, Charles woke up with an acute headache because of the previous night’s overdrinking. He walked to the washroom holding his head and gulped two Asprin from the first-aid box. After having a shower and getting ready in his stiff and pricey three-piece black suit, he knocked at Asher’s bedroom, where Aliza stayed the night.
“Aliza, do not act childish. I know you are awake. Open the door and let us solve this problem together.” Charles insisted, but as expected, there was no response. Thinking that he did not have spare keys to open her door was like Aliza being ridiculous. But Charles did not want to do that to his fiancee. He wasn’t a man to impose his feelings on her and wanted to give her the space that she required.
