Before now Omegas weren't eligible to contest being a world pageantry but over the years, wolf human rights activists like Nelly and the rest have won the fight and now Omegas are allowed to enter into the competition and in the process they end up winning in their sections.
I think we Omegas were only five out of the thousand that contested, being a new rule, more Omegas would indicate interest to contest and their winning rate would also increase. So it's not a thing of joy for those Alphas' and Betas' breeded contestants who with their very eyes saw an unrecognized Omega winning the prize. It was a surprise but there's nothing they can do.
"I'll go with you and Nelly, Jeff might accompany us if he wishes but I wouldn't want everyone to leave at once so it wouldn't seem obvious, I will travel before you and wait in a lounge outside of the Pack, I heard no one is allowed inside except you are part of the cadets." Nelly's absence wouldn't be obvious
