I stagger and almost trip as I move back, scared by my own reflection that is staring back at me. I can't even think of what might be happening. For a brief second I thought, finally, it was my wolf but that thought immediately left my head when I stared back at the black iris staring back at me. If it was my wolf, my eyes would have turned gold. I have no idea what is going on.
"Adriana," Candace's voice sounds far away. I'm unable to turn to and face her, as much as the image in the mirror scares me, I can't bring myself to look away. This is absolutely crazy. I muse to myself. "Are you okay?" she asks, her voice is low and she sounds cautious. Like she is trying to walk on eggshells.
I'm about to turn and tell her yes, I'm fine and it is probably normal for someone's eyes to change color out of the blue, when I feel a sharp pain in my skull, and that confirms to me, if it wasn't already obvious,
