"Angela."

I turn around to find Carl, well, Basil, staring passionately at me.

"Basil," I gasp.

"I never thought I'd see you again, you didn't even show up for graduation."

"I know, I told you I had to leave as soon as I could."

"Yeah, but I didn't expect you to leave so soon, I wanted to see you one last time before you left, to hold you and kiss you once more."

"I'm sorry, I should've said goodbye before leaving."

"But you're here now. You look gorgeous, just like you always do."

"What is this? A celibate meeting? Why the distance?" Lulu, one of Angela's friends, pulls us closer. "Now that's more like it, lovebirds."

"We were just catching up," I tell her shyly.

"Like we don't know the reason you came to this reunion was because of him? All right sis, we're just gonna pretend we don't know that." She winks at me and leaves.
