She smiled softly, then sat down. She let out a low sigh, then inhaled again. “Mason, I really am sorry for contacting the council. I never thought that they would send, Kali. I just wanted, Freya away from our faction,” she said quietly, she looked over at me for a response, but I had no words for her, I just reached over and took my coffee cup off of the table. “I know it’s no excuse, but I was grieving for my brother. You have seen what, Kali is capable of and I was worried that, Freya would be the same. I see now that I was wrong. Freya can control her wolf and so can, Finnley. I thought I was protecting us. See, what Kali did here, isn't the first time she has brought death and destruction to our faction.”
