We flew over the woods near the cabin and my pack let out a welcoming song of howls. They asked if I needed them back, but I told them to continue their hunt. They deserved to let off some steam, and I was hoping to get a few answers from Kali before they came back. Luckily, they were miles away from the cabin, and hadn’t made a kill yet, so I had more than enough time. I knew the twins would have questions for me about their mother, and although I’d caught her scent at the castle, I knew she wasn’t being kept there any longer. Working out what had happened to Kali was more important than finding Selene.

She has no powers anymore, so how much of a threat could she truly be?
