Amelia’s POV

It’s been three hours since we arrived at the hospital and Nolan had left me waiting in the reception area to talk privately with the doctor since he had specifically requested for it. He should be back by now, except something was wrong, I thought to myself as I paced the length of the hallway while constantly glancing at the watch on my wrist.

“How much longer will this take? Is he still in surgery? Is he going to be alright?” I asked the receptionist for the umpteenth time since I was left alone with her but she simply sighed and dropped her pen to look up at me.

“I have no idea Miss, I am just the receptionist and I have no idea what’s going on in there. I suggest you exercise more patience, the doctor should be out soon plus your husband is still in there with your brother.” She explained and I raised a brow sharply at her when I heard her refer to Nolan as my husband but she had returned her attention to her computer and I didn’t want to b
