Chapter 40. Focus on Finding Richard

Amelia’s POV

“Shouldn’t we get inside the house first? Or at least get down from the car?” He asked and I shook my head.

“You don’t have to give me a response right now Nolan, I just need to let you know now and ensure you are aware of it before things get out of hand.”

“We are going to find your brother Amelia, I can assure you of that.” He whispered confidently to me and I nodded with a thin smile.

“I know that but that’s not what I want to say, Nolan. I know you would help me find Richard and that is why I would like to ask you if you would want to get married to me.”

His eyes widened in shock as he stared at me, he was about to open his mouth and say something when I raised a hand sharply to stop him.

“Don’t give me a reply now. Let’s wait until after we find him.”

He clearly had a lot more things to say but he kept quiet because one of the security guards at the gate had just walked up to us and as soon as he saw me, he signaled
