Chapter 100. Forgiveness and Confession
Eryndor’s POV
I awoke to a soft, rhythmic knocking at my door and turned over on my cot, blinking away the last vestiges of sleep. The moonlight filtered through the narrow window, casting pale slivers of silver across the rough-hewn wooden boards of the cabin. A moment later, the knocking came again—gentler this time, insistent but kind. I swung my legs out of bed and padded across the creaking floorboards to answer.
As I opened the door, I found Auraya standing there in her nightgown, a simple yellow dress that fell gracefully to her knees. The fabric looked soft and well-worn, as though it had been washed and patched many times over, and it draped around her lithe figure like a golden halo in the dim lantern light.
