Chapter 103. Arrows and Summoned Wolves
Eryndor’s POV
Vaela landed lightly from the pillar, a bright smile on her face. “Wow, what a gentleman. I can see exactly why our dear Sunblade holds you in such high regard.”
Sylin frowned. “Hmmm. I was hoping to see you a bit more furious—like the stories say you are: an angry, unpredictable hunter, maybe even a little crazy.” She sounded disappointed. What rumors was she talking about? Sure, I’d been rude in the past—and, let’s be honest, I still had that tendency—but crazy? Definitely crazier than before, perhaps, but not irredeemably mad.
Before I could respond, Auraya’s voice cut through the banter. “Hey, both of you—focus! This is the last battle for today. Resolve it now, and then you can decide whether to back him or not!” She sounded like a true leader in that moment, and it filled me with happiness to see her giving orders so firmly. It reminded me how rowdy and spoiled she used to be as a child, yet here she was, commanding respect and attention.
