Chapter 24. The First Mission

Luigi walked on a lonely street while his mind was floating. However, he suddenly returned to his senses as a twelve-year-old boy bumped into him. As he blinked, he realized the boy was running away from the guy who kept chasing him, and he saw the guy furiously shouting at the boy to stop him from rushing. The guy also claimed that the boy was a pickpocket. As the tall guy stopped in front of Luigi, the boy hid behind him while the man kept moving forward, aiming to hit the boy.

“Please, sir, just don’t hit the boy,” Luigi stopped the guy and calmed him.

“Fine! I want to recover my wallet!” The guy cried out.

Luigi then moved and faced the boy on his back, bent for a little bit to level his vision with him.

“Is it true that you got something from him?” Luigi asked; seeing the boy in front of her was in fear.

“I am not a pickpocket, and I did not steal anything from him,” explained the boy.
