Chapter 7
Austin looked over at the cackling triplets with an eyebrow raised and a look on his face that I could tell right away that he thought they were complete weirdos. I chuckled a little, knowing my brother wasn’t keen on them, which was great, because it meant one more person on my side. I was a little worried that he’d have been sucked in by Irene's witchy charms, but luckily, he hadn't. He strolled over to me and Shana, then placed his back against the wall between us, bending his knee to rest his foot on the breeze blocks. While sweeping his hand through his hair, he asked,
“So what’s got them cackling? They’re giving me the heeby-jeebies.”
I saw now why Irene didn’t have my brother under her spell. He was crushing hard on Shana.
