Chapter 20. The Irony
I returned to the party in Noah’s arms and when I passed the table where Peter and his family were sitting, I saw my ex-husband looking at me sharply. Lizzy and Moira starred at me hatefully.

While I was enjoying my cocktail, I saw Eva come out of the corridor where the bathroom was and walk quickly to Peter, then whispered something to him.
Then, Peter, who looked shocked, stood up and quickly took Eva’s hand out of the hall.
“Leo, what’s wrong?”
Noah touched my arm gently. I turned to him and leaned closer to whisper.
“I think Eva told Peter what happened in the bathroom earlier,” I said.
