Chapter 73. Every Dark Side

“That’s all.” 

I put down the recorder that was already filled with my conversation with Lizzy two night ago. 

Noah sighed and took the recorder. “I will report all of this to the police, but, it is likely that Lizzy will also be arrested and questioned, because she is Marteen’s accomplice. She knew Marteen’s plan but did not report it, instead considering it something like a joke, even though what Marteen’s men did could have taken two lives at once.” 

I lowered my head while taking a few deep breaths, trying to hold back the tears that were pressing out. But inevitably, a drop of my tear dripped into my lap. 

My chest felt tight and narrow. I will put the woman I love in prison, to atone for my mistakes to the woman who was once my wife and I have hurt.
