Chapter 21. Friends

Giovanna went to her room and as she was being bathed by the servants, Anchan came in. The women around her couldn't see him, but Giovanna did, and pretended not to.

Anchan approached the tub and, kneeling down, brought his face so close to hers that his breath made the hairs on Giovanna's arm stand on end when she felt his breath.

"Can't you see me now?"

Giovanna turned to the servants.

"You can go. I'll put my clothes on by myself."

The servants left and Giovanna looked coldly and indifferently at Anchan.

"What are you doing here?"

"I... I couldn't stop thinking about you and I don't think we introduced ourselves properly."

Giovanna stood up from the bathtub and didn't mind Anchan's admiring glance at her naked body. She stepped out slowly, picked up a carefully folded towel from her bed and began to dry herself.
