Chapter 26. A Son for Me, a Son for You

Luc saw Giovanna before he parked the car. He turned round and opened the door for her, who got in quietly. He didn't say anything. He took her to the hotel where he was staying, and as soon as they reached their suite, he called and asked them to bring breakfast. He looked at Giovanna. She stood hugging her rucksack, staring at him with her usual cold, indifferent gaze. He went over to her and took the rucksack from her hands, then threw it on the bed. He saw that she was shaking like the day she sold herself to him, and he put his hands on her shoulders, looking at her sombrely.

"Do you also tremble when you're with Theo or do you have a... Problem with me?"

Giovanna shook her head in the negative.

"Theo and I... We don't..."

"He was seen leaving your house in the early hours of the morning. You don't have to lie to me. I want you anyway. I'll never stop wanting you."
