Hovar came down the hill after two days helping to load the carts. He took everything to the fortress he had built on Yuki's land and stored it covertly in the basement of the house he had built for himself inside the fortress. Behind the walls and under the floor of that basement lay the greatest treasure that had ever existed. He dismissed the other three werewolves who followed him as if he were the only goal in their lives, after helping him hide all the gold, but they refused to move away from Hovar and started families and lived there inside the fortress. They didn't know it at the time, but those three unimportant werewolves were the first Betas. But they didn't beget others like them. The Betas who came into existence were Calleb's children.
