Chapter 33. Enigma

Hovar stopped breaking the board and looked at the werewolves who had already filled more than two hundred boxes in just the first one he broke and frowned. They wouldn't be able to take the rest of the gold.

"If I knew what she was capable of, I would never allow her to get so close. I know what Giovanna is hiding from all of you."

"What is she hiding?"

The son looked at the wizard and realized that he really wanted that answer.

"If I tell you, will you help me find a way to take all that gold?"

The wizard looked down at his hands.

"I don't know how to do that."

The son took a deep breath and sat down, while the werewolves loaded the crates onto the carts they had taken.

"Yes, you do. I'm not leaving until I find out."

"What's Giovanna's secret?"

"What I know isn't really a secret... It's just an observation."
