Chapter 100. What She Likes

Luc stared at her with cold eyes, but he was worried about what she had just said. There wasn't much he could do if she decided to take her own life, and that made him feel like his hands were chained. She was finding out the hard way that she didn't have that power over herself either. She was Luna. And he was trying to spare her any more suffering. What would change her mind? He would have to watch her day and night, or lose her, to her pride.

"What did you think of the beer?" He asked relaxed. She was drinking wolf beer and had probably never had access to anything intoxicating before. This event could be fun.

"There's something different about it..."

"You don't like it?"

She looked at him and smiled.

"I guess because of what you've let on in our conversations, that you don't want me dead, so I don't think it's poison."
