Delaney

"Please come with us, come back, Delaney," Ronan pleaded, turning his mouth down slightly.

"How about no?" I grunted, pain radiating inside my head as my wolf protested.

"We can't survive without you, our beasts are detaching from us," Kai said, frowning.

I raised my eyebrows, a forced laugh passing between my lips. "So you want me now because you are basically turning into rogues?"

"Delaney," Kai spoke slowly. "We made a terrible mistake. We judged you without thinking."

"Oh yes, you did, and a mere 'sorry' does not make it right," I retorted. Ronan winced, while Kai lowered his eyes.

"Honey, maybe you should sit down and talk," my dad finally joined in, his voice calming, yet with an edge in its tone.
