Scentless, that is exactly how the second body smelt. It was drained of blood, almost completely, with the wrists slit. There were also needle puncture marks on her arms, possibly used to drain blood.
“This is some sick shit,” I spoke lowly to Kai, crouching beside the body. Blonde hair, green eyes, broken hands, and ligature marks around her slit wrists, around her waist and ankles. It was obvious that she had been restrained for some time.
“Line up,” Kai commanded the patrol team, the same one that had discovered the body. By the time we had gotten to the North Side, where the body was, it was dark in the woods and quiet. Not even the sounds of crickets or other small animals could be heard; it was like they knew the abomination that had happened, like the forest was grieving.
