“Oh? Then how did you escape without getting caught? Market festivals are always so crowded!”
“Exactly. I disappeared by blending in with the crowd. With my freshly baked bread baked by the winner of that same contest.”
Artemis threw her head back, laughing, her curly hair now free from her tie and letting it fall behind her shoulders. Michail looked pleased with himself as he snuggled in his bed, watching as Artemis brought the grapes over to his lips and fed him.
It was a few nights after the two had successfully slain the Chimera.
