Chapter 14

Katelyn’s POV

Why am I feeling heavy? I felt as if someone had run over my thigh and waist.

I opened my eyes to see the white ceiling of my room and realized it was morning, and I needed to get up to go to work.

I was about to stand up and stretch when I felt something heavy lying over my leg. I saw Eligor’s thigh when I peeked above; he was still gaping and fast asleep.

I frowned and smacked him hard on his thigh.

“Ouch!” I quickly moved away from him as he screamed.

“It’s morning, and we need to get to work! Also, go fix up your apartment!” I yelled at him, and he scratched his head while yawning.

“I filed for leave today because I’m moving. I’ve got a lot to do. Help me, Kate,” he whined. Instead of paying attention to him, I opened the window inside the room and went straight to the bathroom.

“Hurry up and leave my apartment. I’ll need to get ready for work,” I told Eli, and I saw him get up, scratching his stomach
