Chapter 147. Clueless
Denny searched for his phone and dialed his Private Investigator’s number.
"You know my home address, right?" Denny asked as soon as the line got connected.
"Yes, Mister Vero," the PI, Jim Rovan, replied with firmness. He felt the urgency in his good client’s tone.
Among the job orders he had from this man, Jim had never regretted working for Denny Vero because he was not just a good payer, this man was clear in every instruction he would want Jim to do. Jim has background-checked on people from different walks of business who apparently turned out to be Mister Vero’s business connections, from both sides of the coin– allies and competitors.
These days, Mister Vero no longer had to say his requests word by word for Jim Rovan to understand, and this rapport became beneficial for Jim as Denny Vero would call for him every time Denny thought Jim was the right person for the job.
