Chapter 166. An Ally
Don Carlo stared intently at Denny's face as if trying to find any reason to doubt this man's sincerity.
"I am not that close to her, but I still want to believe she is who I think she is. I am only speaking from what I know, I might still be wrong. Although, I really hope I am not," Denny added eagerly.
Don Carlo nodded as he leaned his back into the chair.
"I am glad to know this may not be your sister, but just to be clear, if it happens to be that she has anything to do with this," Don Carlo paused and stared right into Denny's eyes. "I am not letting this one go. Her actions naturally bear consequences, and she will have to deal with them."
Denny smiled with certainty.
"I agree with you about that. I can be passive and let my sister do her will when there is only me as a victim to suffer, but it differs when innocent people get affected in any way. I cannot turn a blind eye and tolerate such behavior," Denny firmly stated.
