Chapter 99. Quite Silly

"Hello?" Marie answered her phone when she noticed it ringing.

She was thinking about taking a taxi before her call with Mister Vero, but since he said a driver would come to pick her up, Marie decided to walk to the end of the bridge. It wasn't too far from where she was standing so she took her time to walk. As she walked, she also noticed that no taxis within her surrounding area.

She might get misunderstood as someone going to jump off the railings if she stayed in her spot waiting for that ride Mister Vero had sent for her. Besides, it would also be a sort of exercise for her to have a short walk.

She hasn't been able to do such good for the body and health activities. She should take the chance as it has presented itself. She stopped by the approach slab of the bridge and saw an atm booth where she could get in and take the call with silence and shade from the sun.
