Chapter 4
Disaster
Cathalina’s Point Of View:
I am here in our mansion in Italy because my Dad bought this one because of us and where we live with Mommy and so far, we are happy not until the accident happened. It changed everything and all the happiness vanished because of me and I always blamed myself for what happened to my Mom. I always ask myself what if I just didn’t insist on going to the mall? What if Mommy and I just didn't leave to buy my toy at the mall? Is she alive now? Maybe we're happy now but I just exercised my stubbornness. My Dad never blamed me but I always blame myself for why our Mom died. Maybe destiny is really cruel to do things I don’t like.
Am I that included? All I want is a good and happy family but I guess, I failed to have one. In my entire life, I never confronted Daddy for having another family and I chose to keep quiet on the side wishing that Mom is still alive. I don't want my Dad to have another woman in his life because I just want us and maybe I'm selfish but that's all I want, we're whole. When my Mom died, Daddy changed and what he asked me to do was tax life. He's the reason why I am not unbeatable and he's the reason why I am like this, too far from the young and innocent Cathalina.
He did this to me and he changed all of me but I always saw my Dad cry. I saw him cry at my Mom's funeral here in Italy and that's the most painful scene I have watched. To see my father crying nonstop just to ease the pain that he's hiding, it’s. Every Time I see him in his room, he's always hugging the picture of my Mom. I took a deep breath because I had been staring at the ceiling of my room before. I had just finished one of my missions and it was already night here and I didn't feel like leaving my room. I'm tired today and my brother hasn't called me yet, I haven't even greeted him. I missed my friends in the Philippines and I can't wait to see them.
Lars, Sera, and Sydney became my sister's friends. They have a good attitude and a good heart and it's only been a year since I met them and it's not that easy for them to be friends, if I could tell them what I'm doing I'm ready to say. One rule in our Supremacy Agency is never to tell anyone what we do. That's one of the things Daddy forbids, not to tell others about our agency. I was lying on my back when my cell phone rang, maybe I fell asleep thinking too much. "Hello?" I said sleepily on the other line. [Sister,] I quickly sat up when I heard my twin's voice. [Sister, come home here.] "What happened to you? Why are you crying?" I asked as I frowned. [Sister, I'm here in the hospital…] She said and there I stood in shock. [Come home here, please…] "What?" I asked in shock.
“Why are you there? What happened?" [A-Amara…] she stuttered so I clenched my fists in anger. ['W-what happened years ago she said… I'm scared.] That's our secret and what happened two years ago has been our secret for a long time, even the whole of Valeria. No one liked what happened because my sister was a victim and Noemie was traumatized because of it. We treated her and I almost went crazy with her condition. It's been a long time but because of Amara, I remember what happened a few years ago. I sighed. "Who are you with?" I asked calmly. [N-no one,] She said softly.
[Come home Sister, please!] I bit my lip and wondered if I would do anything else today. I took a deep breath and agreed to what she wanted and told me to go home so she was happy. I brought a duffel bag because my belongings in the mansion were there. I wore black pants and a white shirt, and I put on a black leather jacket. After arranging my belongings I went out to my room. "Hades, I'll go home now because my sister needs me," I said in a calm voice as I went down the stairs. “Noted, milady.” He took my bag so I immediately followed him out. I immediately got in the car and inside I was angry again, I wouldn't have gone home if Noemie hadn't needed me.
I don't want to see Dad's new family because I get even angrier with him and I don't want the two of us to fight again. Our whole trip was quiet as I held my cellphone while playing and talking to the incharge at our agency. Fortunately, we rested for a few months because of the Director's order. I suppressed my anger while waiting for my plane to land. I swear to God, when I can't control myself I don't know what to do with them. I don't get sanctified when my sister is in question and I am different when I get angry. "We are here milady," Hades said politely. I got up and we also had a few hours of flight so I waited for my brother’s text about the address.
I immediately went down and put on my shades because it's morning here and I'm not used to being hot here compared to Italy. It's better here because the whole place still hasn't changed. I quickly got into the car that had been waiting for me. "Martinez Hospital," I said seriously to my butler who was sitting in the driver's seat. He nodded. I looked out the window overlooking the tall buildings. Over the years a lot has changed and every scene I see has become more beautiful, the surroundings are not boring and have become more beautiful. "Milady, we are here," Hades said and immediately came down to support me.
"Don't come over to me there, you can go to our house and place my luggage," I said when I got out of the car. "Yes, I will," he said politely so I nodded. I went straight inside and all they thought was me but I ignored them yet. I asked at the front desk and he immediately said my brother's room. I immediately went to what he was saying and I immediately heard the commotion in the loon so I took a deep breath. I knocked first and gently opened the door and they were all surprised to see me. Daddy is still standing in his seat and this is also the reason why my sister is in the hospital. "Frances," Daddy called in shock and hugged me. "You didn't tell me you were going home. I sent it to you." "It's okay Dad because I won't be here long," I smiled a little and patted his shoulder. "I'm here because Noemie needs me." I went to my sister who was looking at me so I hugged her and she also hugged me back while crying. I calmed her down first and checked her condition to see if she was sick or not. "What happened to you?" I ask seriously.
She bowed while shaking hands so I looked at Amara and Belinda who were there. I looked sharply at the two of them and approached Amara who now raised an eyebrow at me but traces of nervousness and fear in her eyes. "What did you do?" I asked in a loud voice. “Cathalina,” my Dad warned me but I ignored him. "You should calm down." "I didn't do anything to her!" Amara immediately raised her voice and obviated again. "I'm not doing anything to him, Daddy!" "Leave this room," I said to them all with my fists clenched. "I said leave!" I watched Amara cling to Daddy immediately and she stared at me before leaving the room.
When they came out I immediately took a deep breath and faced my brother who was bent over while crying. "Noemie," I said calmly. "Care to tell me what happened?" She looked at me. “Sister, I collapsed when I got home. Amara confronted me on what happened years ago and she threatened me that s-she would say e-everything happened, ” She cried. "She did that?" I asked calmly and she nodded and took my hand. "Sister j-just stay here, don't leave," She begged while holding my hand. "I don't want to be in the h-house, I feel like I don't belong to them ... t-they don't consider me family and they always drive me away, especially Amara."
What I found out filled my heart with anger. I was lost next to my sister for a few years and she never said anything to me and so did Daddy. Is this where I will arrive now? I hugged her. “Shh, I’m sorry for letting you here alone. You know that I'm working and I know it's my fault, ”I said softly but he shook his head. “Don’t worry because now I’m here, no one can ever touch you. No one. ”
