Chapter 103. Unexpected

Lukas POV

I watched as she took in the size of the bathtub in her bathroom. I remembered the first time I saw her bathing in a water trough. I wanted to talk to her about how she ended up as a prisoner at Sapphire Moon and what happened to her but didn't want to upset her. Donnatella was reluctant to talk about it.

I left her alone to settle in and went back to my room to take a shower and get to bed. An hour later, I was just about to doze off when I felt Luke stir. I heard the door handle to my room twist open and her scent filled the room. I lifted my head and she walked over towards the bed.

"Syble? Is everything okay?" I threw my legs over the edge of the bed and sat up. Instinctively I wanted to stand up, but I always sleep naked and didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. I kept the blanket wrapped around my waist.
